Beijing Zoo is home to over 450 species of land animals and over 500 species of marine life. It houses over 15,000 animals in total, which includes the famous and very popular Giant Pandas

The zoo was founded in 1906 and is one of the oldest zoos in China. Beijing Zoo is dedicated to ensuring the survival of China's rarest animals, including the South China Tiger and the Golden Snub Nosed Monkey.
