Nanjing Road

Nanjing Road is a long street (around 3 miles) with many shops and shopping centres for locals and tourists alike. It's a perfect place for those wishing to try a little retail therapy. Think of this as the Oxford Street of Shanghai! But arguably busier and bigger.

The difference between Oxford Street and Nanjing Road is that there are many bars, restaurants, and clubs dotted along the road. There's also a sightseeing bus/train that goes along the street so if you're too tired from carrying all your shopping take a break and hop on!

For those that are interested in trying Xiao Long Baos, there are many restaurants that serve them along Nanjing Road, you can get either the small mini ones or go to places that serve large ones!

How to get there:
Underground:
  • Take Underground line 1, line 2, line 8 or line 10 and get off at any of the following stops: People's Square, East Nanjing Road or West Nanjing Road.
